The Lawrence-based owner of a South Hutchinson box manufacturing plant announced last week he was paying bonuses to employees at his three plants and buying new equipment for one of those plants as a result of the tax cuts approved late last year by Congress.
Lawrence Paper Co. President Justin Hill Jr. announced in a news release that he’d give a $500 bonus to each of the company’s 300 employees and invest more than $5 million in new equipment at a plant in Fremont, Nebraska, because of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
