As flexographic and corrugated printers are continually striving to practice weekly PM (preventative maintenance) cleaning of anilox rolls to ensure ink density, quality and reproduction of printed substrates are consistent. Some of the largest and most powerful corporations have incorporated this high quality anilox roll cleaning system Flexi-Lox™, with positive results. Tests have proven the Flexi-Lox™ system works better than soda blasting, without all of the hassles and mess and downtime that are associated with soda blasting.
Soda blasting can cause adverse effects to the anilox roll cells. Dry ice also proves to emit dangerous levels of CO2. The aqueous liquid, that accompanies the Flexi-Lox™ blanket, has a Ph of 9.5 -10.5, which can be diluted with 20% water. It is safe to dispose into the local sewer system in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. The Flexi-Lox™ “system” removes the risks associated with traditional soda blasting or dry ice PM programs.
