Buckeye Corrugated Completes New Building

Buckeye Corrugated, In. (BCI) Akron, OH – On December 16, 2019 BCI will launch its new 260,000 s/f Sheet Plant in Houston, TX. Located in The Pinto Industrial Park near Highway 45 and Beltway 8, the new facility is about 20 miles North of downtown Houston and serves as the base of operations for our 98 associates.

During the months of November and December BCI transitioned the existing equipment to the new facility and features several new pieces of equipment to add to its converting capabilities; A Bobst 8 color DRO with JB Dryers, a Ward 3-color Flexo Folder Gluer with die-cut section and Alliance Pre-Feeder, a new Ward 3-color Rotary Die Cutter with an Alliance Pre-Feeder. A new scrap system, powered conveyor with transfer car, two Martin Stackers with the SQC feature, dual unitizers with turntables, two inline Stretch Wrappers and a new Ink Kitchen has also been added to enhance machine capabilities. All these additions will contribute to improve work-flow efficiency and increased capacity. The investment in BCI Houston will provide our associates a world class facility with the capabilities to produce the highest-level graphic packaging and displays that our valued customers demand.
